DMCA Policy

Our policy for handling copyright infringement claims

1. Introduction

SaveThumbnail respects the intellectual property of others and is committed to responding to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement. This DMCA Policy outlines the process for submitting a takedown notice if you believe that content accessible through our Service infringes your copyright.

Please note that SaveThumbnail is a tool that helps users download thumbnails of publicly available YouTube videos. We do not host content ourselves.

2. Filing a DMCA Notice

If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please submit a written notification to our designated agent. Your notification must include the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work: A link to the original YouTube video or a sufficient description of the work you claim has been infringed.
  2. Identification of the infringing material: The URL of the specific YouTube video associated with the thumbnail you are claiming is infringing.
  3. Your Contact Information: Your full legal name, physical address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A Statement of Good Faith: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A Statement of Accuracy: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  6. An Electronic Signature: A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

Failure to include all of the above information may result in a delay in the processing of your complaint.

3. How to Submit a Notice

Please send your DMCA notice to our designated agent via email at:

Email: dmca@savethumbnail.in

We recommend using "DMCA Takedown" as the subject line for faster processing.

4. Our Actions Upon Receipt

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice that complies with the requirements above, we will:

  • Acknowledge receipt of your notice.
  • Review the claim to determine its validity.
  • If the claim is valid, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the specific thumbnail link associated with the infringing content.
  • We will make a good-faith effort to contact the user who submitted the video URL so they may have the opportunity to respond.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove access to any content that we believe in good faith may be infringing.

5. Counter-Notification

If you believe that content you have accessed or linked to via our Service was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notification to our designated agent. Your counter-notification must include:

  • Your full legal name, physical address, and email address.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
  • Your consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which we may be found.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.
